Associates Despina-Maria Georgiadou and Theodora Papakyriakou participated in the Cyprus Bar Association's seminar for judges and lawyers, concerning the judicial system and judicial protection, in times of economic crisis. The seminar was organised in association with the Attorney General’s Office.
The objective of the seminar was to inform and promote discussion among law professionals on specific administrative law matters in Greece and Cyprus. Current legal issues, including the consequences of annulling an administrative act and the right to damages were also analysed, and matters such as judicial review regarding taxation cases and the rights of citizens in an economic crisis were addressed.
Furthermore, discussions took place on the proposed legislation for the creation of Administrative Courts in Cyprus.
