“The Social Insurance (Contributions) (Amendment) Regulations of 2012”
The above mentioned regulations impose an obligation to employers to provide the employee with a “commencement of employment” certificate, prior to the commencement of employment. The form for such a certificate will be available both at the Social Insurance district offices and on the internet. According to the regulations, the employer shall keep a copy of the said certificate, which must be available upon request, in cases of inspection. When providing such a certificate to an employee, the employer has to notify the Social Insurance Office in due time. The breach of the provisions of the said regulations shall constitute an offence, which may be settled extrajudicially.
