External associate Napoleon Xanthoulis primarily practises in the areas of Corporate and Commercial law and also advices in matters related to International Arbitration. In addition, he provides legal advice across the spectrum of EU law and human rights protection and particularly handles cases involving Competition law and Regulatory & Compliance matters, including, inter alia, Personal Data Protection, Environmental and Consumer Protection and IT.
Napoleon obtained work experience at Ashurst LLP and Pappas & Associates in Brussels, where he focused on EU Competition law cases. Furthermore, he has worked at the Cabinet of the European Commissioner for the Environment on regulatory infringement cases of environmental law. Finally, he had the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the area of shipping law at Hill Dickinson LLP and Vafias Group in Piraeus and Athens, where he assisted in several shipping law disputes under bare boat charters.
He regularly publishes articles and presents papers on legal and policy issues and in the past has been the Volume Editor of the UCL Journal of Law and Jurisprudence (2011-2012).
