Marie Thomas joined the Corporate and Commercial Department of the firm in June 2016, after having completed her legal training with us. She regularly advises clients in the corporate sector, on matters relating to the incorporation and management of companies, corporate restructuring transactions and financing transactions. She also deals with cross-border mergers, legal due diligence reviews, legal opinions and drafting and review of corporate, constitutional and security documents, in addition to commercial agreements.
Prior to joining our firm, Marie acquired valuable work experience at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in the London head office, where she focused on financial transactions and business services. She has also worked as a stagiaire in the Cabinet of the President of the Court of Justice of the EU in Luxembourg. Further, Marie has worked on high-profile cases, with primary focus on international law, human rights and criminal law, during an internship in the Appeals’ Division of the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
