Anna Rossides is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial Department of the firm. She has significant experience in multi-million IPO transactions on unregulated markets (such as AIM) and foreign stock exchanges (including on the LSE, Toronto SE and Frankfurt SE). The portfolio of her clients involved in such transactions, are primarily active in the mining, agriculture or real estate sectors of the international market. One of her most recent such transactions concerns a novel USD 32.5 million IPO transaction in which a Cypriot public company listed on AIM, namely, EMED Mining Public Limited, carried out an IPO on the Toronto SE and concurrently effected a private placement in the UK.
She was also recently involved in complex multi- million Euro transactions concerning the issuance of loan notes and GDRs, by a Cypriot public company, to international investors and their listing on the LSE. Her knowledge and expertise also extends to corporate and secured financing transactions, something that she has gained substantial experience in over the past 10 years. Anna is also particularly known for her strong expertise in the area of Competition law; frequently advising prestigious clients in diverse industries, on challenging competition and antitrust matters, including those related to mergers & acquisitions and representing corporate clients before the Cyprus Commission for the Protection of Competition. She is included among world’s leading lawyers in The International Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers and is in fact the only lawyer from Cyprus to be recommended among a total of almost 900 lawyers in 54 jurisdictions. Noteworthy cases in which her competition law expertise was recently required include advising on the multi-million Euro purchase of shares in a bank operating in Cyprus (USB Bank Plc) by BLC Bank sal (Lebanon), and in relation to the USD 500 million acquisition of 20% of CMA CGM S.A. equity capital by Yildirim Holding AS. |
